The course in Celestial mechanics
(AST005 and AST011; 4h per week) covers theories of the solar
system dynamics starting
from the "Keplerian" two-body approximation up to the "Laplace-Lagrange"
secular solution. Particular care is also paid to the "Hill" method applied
to the lunar motion and basics of the artificial satellite dynamics. It
is an advanced course for senior undergraduates and graduates majoring
in physics. The course offers a solid introduction to the fundamental theory
of the subject.

The course of Physics of small Solar System
bodies (AST020; 2h per week) is co-lectured with M. Broz and
M. Solc. We discuss contemporary view on physics and dynamics of small
planetary bodies and their populations (interplanetary dust, meteorites,
asteroids, comets, Kuiper-belt objects, planetary satellites and rings).

My research papers
deal with black-hole astrophysics, particularly in relation to the model
of active galactic nuclei with a massive black hole, relativistic celestial
mechanics and space dynamics of the artificial and/or natural bodies.

Thermal effects affecting motion of the asteroids and
their fragments
(related to meteoritics, delivery of NEAs to the Earth vicinity,
etc.) ;

Yarkovsky and YORP effect(s) detection via orbital and rotation-state
changes for the near-Earth asteroids;

Determination of the PPN parameters \beta and \gamma
through the radio science experiment on the ESA Mercury Orbiter
mission;

Together with Bruno Bertotti we prepared a second edition of a
