Under Prague's Starry Skies

The MODEST 17 conference will be held in the very heart of the picturesque old Praha (Prague), on the premises of the oldest university east of Paris and north of the Alps – Charles University – which was founded on April 7th, 1348 by Roman Emperor and King of Bohemia Charles IV. In walking distance from the main building of Charles University, the majority of the medieval sightseeing spots of the more than a millennium old Czech capital are located: the Old Town Square with the Astronomical Clock, Charles Bridge and its beautiful views on both riversides or the Prague Castle, the symbol of the Czech state through its whole history.
